WHY IT’S RAD!
Here are some stats concerning the Porsche 944 Turbo: It was the fastest 4-cylinder production car at the time, and with a nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution, the 944 topped the charts of the best handling cars of the era. So it’s no surprise that the secret is out on these capable and analog front engined Porsches. Bonus points for pop-up headlights, too. We’ve seen many come out to RADwood over the years, but none in this attractive color combo of Stone Grey Metallic over Burgundy leather.
This 944 Turbo was purchased new in Chicago and stayed in Illinois before being transferred to a Canadian owner in 2015. The selling US dealer acquired it from a large collection this year.
This transaxle Porsche is reportedly a very good “driver” example with no known modifications and shows 57,488 miles. Cosmetically it presents nicely with good shut gaps. There are some scratches, chips, and other blemishes reported but consistent with the age and mileage of the car.
The interior is believed to be all original and presents well with minor wear. The engine bay appears clean, tidy and unmodified. The car is currently being serviced to address timing belt replacement along with fluids, brake service and more. Only a few older service records are included, but additional recent work includes refinishing the original wheels, PDR and a full detail. The original window sticker, manual, tool kit and a clean CARFAX report accompanies the vehicle.
